Game 6: Timmy Got a Little Crazy

Analysis by BruinsUnite

If there were one bear on the team who you’d least like to poke, who would it be? I’d say Timmy’s right up there as a fabulous candidate. You suspect he ain’t hibernating but you don’t want to find out for sure.

Regarding the Corvo slapshot during penalty kill, here’s Thomas on his own performance:

“I got a little crazy there that whole penalty kill. I was just going to throw anything in the way that I could.”

Lots of crazy is a good thing.

Those Versus announcers were great, commenting on Timmy’s awkward style. In this society, anything extraordinary is frowned upon. Even if it’s effective.

But here’s the irony of the matter: To this hockey-crazed author, watching Timmy is one of the most beautiful things there is. His methods cross over from goalie to artist, to gladiator, to the man who’s going to open up a can of whoop-ass.

So it’s art as well as athleticism. But are they right? Does Timmy fall short of elegant? Of course it does. If he’s a ballerina.

But he’s Timmy. There’s no one else like him. And he’s ours.
